We love building quirky things at Inshriach and over the last 10 years we have created and updated our off-grid holiday spaces, spread out over 20 acres alongside the river Spey.
To book the cabins head over to our page on Canopy and Stars. Bookings on the cabins are 3 night minimum with changeovers on Monday and Thursday. Bookings that are not with the house or part of an event all go through Canopy and Stars.

The Loghouse
Built by ourselves during the lockdown of 2020, using mostly axes, drawknives and hand tools (and perhaps the odd chainsaw), the loghouse is our latest construction. Made from Scots pine harvested within a few miles of here, it has a full size double on the mezzanine with the option of adding a 1.5 size sofa bed if you have a child or want to share.
The Bothy
Originally conceived as an artists residency space, the Bothy is now available year round through Canopy and Stars. It’s hidden away in isolated and beautiful woodland a mile from civilisation so big wheelie suitcases are not recommended. The bothy has its own compost loo and bush shower so if we catch you back at the bathroom in the farmyard you are cheating.
The Shepherd’s Hut
Thanks to Tim Westman (this link takes you to his amazing log cabin in Wales) who spent the summer of 2013 building it, this Swedish inspired shepherd’s hut has taken up residence in amongst the Juniper towards the March pool. Simple, comfortable, charming and achingly romantic, it’s not a lot like being a real shepherd.
Each space has its own compost loo and up at the farmyard there are shared hot showers and bathrooms, plus a communal kitchen in case you want to wash up and cook on a cooker.
